A great place to find a lobby for the Risk II game can be found in the Warzone software. This third-party client networks users from around the globe to play Risk II in a multiplayer setting from 3 to 8 players per game. http://ewarzone.com/ is the site from which the client can be downloaded. If you do not have Risk II, the game can be bought for usually 5 dollars at your local electronic games retailer or is readily found online for download. If you need help finding a copy of Risk II, the warzone lobby is a great place to find help. Most people using the warzone have little issue playing a multiplayer game, but sometimes your router will have to be configured to allow Warzone to use certain ports...and again, help can be found in the warzone lobby if you have trouble starting a game. Hope to see you there!

Hi! Has anyone seen "PIRATE! Battle for SKULL ATOLL" ? It isnt declaring itself as a Risk game, but the game play is very similar. I think it was made for a slightly younger audience, but it is really really good looking and sounds great. If anyone else has played it, I would be grateful to know what they think. I like it! :o)

It has real time games and regular games. It's still somewhat new, especially the live games, so be patient when starting a game.

"War with Friends" was just released to the Android market to play on Android phones. It's still new (released yesterday) so there aren't many users yet but it's a full-featured implementation of Risk you can play at your leisure.

I recommend Corridor - a road based RISK game. The roads can also be destroyed or repaired, giving an extra strategic twist. Emphasis on map generation and customisation of rules. Strong AI.

Tournament RISK is a free not-for-profit online site, running since 2003, with a small community of competitive RISK players that play in months-long turn-based tournaments. You can also play in one-off friendly "exhibition" games and/or against computer players. There are 10+ maps, a lot of different game options, and a public message board where trash talk is not only allowed, but actively encouraged! :)

Afterwind ( http://afterwind.com ) is perhaps the best browser-based Risk-like game. It's quite a lot more complex, though, with different unit types, strategies and a more realistic world (over 500 cities). A lot of fun to play, highly recommended.

Hello, I would suggest the Art of War, a simplified, relaxed and very enjoyable simultaneous Risk clone. Turns are solved after every player has entered his move (within max 15 days, usually daily), there are bonuses for enclosed territories instead of full continents and since every nation deploys generated units directly on its territory there is an interesting troops movement strategy to develop.

Love your site* the greatest collection of strategy. Missionrisk should be taken off your list because it has been rebuilt and reincarnated as GlobalSiege which should be added to the list. This game rules but needs a few more players. The original Risk with a few adaptations for the internet, fastest action, you actually watch everyone click around the world with no lag or waiting for anything to load. warning* very addictive
