I once was playing a game where I had Africa and Europe against the Americas (there was a turtle in Asia/Australia). I put 28 men on North Africa against 4 for Brazil, because I was aiming to take out both continental bonuses. I attacked and lost, getting down to 2 armies against 2 armies. I lost 26 versus their 2. Needless to say, I lost Africa and Europe on the next turn and ended up losing because I had nowhere to go. I didn't mind though--no matter how good you are, you can't win if that sort of thing happens.

I remember one time, though not nearly as awful as yours, i lost 14 armies while the other guy lost none. Karma struck down on that idiot though, and he lost 12 armies against 4 of my own.

One of my close friends earned the nickname "Ram-Blue" because he, not once, not twice, But three times on the same night fought off 10+ army invasions with a single army. The 6's were with him that night... Sad to say, I was 2 of the 3.

One time, when I was first introduced to risk I piled all my armies in Japan. Then, 57 armies I attacked Kamchatka's 7. In the end I lost Japan and the game.
