Seems like a quiet board, but I'll post my two cents to start a Napolean Risk discussion since I don't see it mentioned below.

A friend purchased it via ebay and we started a 4-player game yesterday. There are nine regions (similar to 'continents' in regular Risk) and 48 territories, which made for an immediate difference. It's virtually impossible to prevent all of the other players from claiming any one region very quickly, there's simply too many of them. You have to pretty much hope to just get one yourself and not offend anyone too soon.

The reinforcements are much more interesting than original: there are two types of infantry and two types of cavalry, making a total of five card types. They use the European schedule (of course, since this is a limited edition version produced in Europe), which means the combination of symbols determines the number of reinforcements you get, rather than how many cards have been traded in.

I have one question though; how would it be difficult to claim a region, because there are so many? wouldn't that make it easier?
