Hi there I would like to throw a Risk Party and thought it would be cool to obtain a supersized board and pieces to create some theatre and add an 'operations room' feel, Does anybody manafacture classic Risk on a large board or would I have to try and make my own? Thanks.

I don't have much knowledge about it. But as per my suggestion you have to create your own.

Regretably I don`t have anything remotely useful to contribute. But I'd like to affirm that that's a truly awesome idea (as if there was any doubt)

Larger map would be nice if playing with many players. Though I would need to buy more units. I have Risk Transformers and it includes only 4 different colors and not so much units. Usually when we play we use custom maps and someone else units. But it would be fun to have a really big game with maybe 10 players.

Seeing as there is recent interest in this thread, I'll jump in. I created an oversized board of my own a couple of years ago. It was pretty easy. I bought 3 2'x3'x1/4" thick poster boards to make a 3'x6' map. Then I created a standard RISK map on my computer, printed it out on sticker paper, stuck it to the board and laminated it. Like I said it was pretty easy and very cheap - less than $20 USD. The toughest part was creating the map image itself. I didn't want to just draw basic lines like I've seen with some custom boards. I tried taking images of existing boards that I liked but stretching the image to the size I wanted came out horrible. I also tried using real world maps since I had the extra space but the scale was all wrong. What I ended up doing was taking a standard RISK map stretched to the size I needed overlayed with a real world map and drew my own lines where I felt it worked best. After adding my own color scheme and stylization I think it came out pretty sweet. Anyways, what I'm getting at is if anybody is interest in making their own oversized map I would gladly share the map image I created. I works best for 6'x3' maps but it can be resized as needed.
