I read the sample pages and it seems to be a great book.

The only thing I don't like is that it is only available in proprietary Kindle format and not as ePub which is the de facto standard for eBooks.

Would it be possible to make it available as ePub (so that everyone who buys the PDF version of the book can also download the ePub version)? I know that you can use tools to convert PDF to ePub, but the results aren't very good, it would be much easier for you because you have the sources.

Thanks!

Hi riskplayer

Thanks for your interest in the book. As you have seen, the book is available in PDF and Kindle format. ePub has gained popularity but unfortunately is a very poor technology for books that may contain many graphs and tables which is the case here. As you mentioned, the conversions are not smooth. To make sure that a buyer such as you would get the book in way that is readable and intended to be read by the author, the book was not made available in ePub format. However, with both PDF and Kindle you get to read the book with correct formatting. Both systems are available on a wide variety of devices so it should not be a problem for anyone to use these formats with their readers.

The ePub format is currently mainly suitable for fiction which are usually pure text. This may change in the future as the format becomes more mature, but until then you can use the PDF and the relatively mainstream Kindle.

Hope this helps
