OK, everytime i play risk i always loose because:

1. I buff up my borders and leave 1 man on each inner country, but when someone attacks me, and after many tries breaks through my border can get all the inner countrys with 1 man on them easily
2. if i put men in the inner countrys and some onthe outer i dont have enough men on the outer

WHAT DO I DO???

Unless you have a reasonably small border easily bolstered by reinforcements (i.e. three countries or less), you are indeed running the risk of penetration by enemy forces. Therefore, consider the size of your border. When dispersed across a large number of countries, have either a reserve force held back to counteract successful penetration near the point where it is most likely to occur, or begin doubling up on the second rank of border countries.

Aim to reduce your border size whenever possible, which will reduce the risk of penetration and permit a stronger focus on your front line.

Anticipate these attempts as much as possible. This is most likely to occur when you have a fairly weak front line, or at least one point that is weak which you can do little about. It is even more likely when coupled with your attempt to hold a continent's borders, or when pressuring another player. Expect an attempt to be made against your border. Use your free move at the end of your turn to retreat another portion of your line - either to close the gap, or to be in position for removing interlopers on your next turn.

Lastly, consider how well your frontline forces can support one another. As an example: Central America and North Africa cannot; Venezuela and Brazil can. If you are being threatened in the former position, consider a strategic retreat to the latter with sufficient defenders, until you can cash in for reinforcements and resume expansion.

When you absolutely cannot cover or protect a weak point, consider the wisdom of dividing that point's force in half and moving half backwards. Your opponent may stop after attacking your first territory (content to make progress and to collect their card), leaving you a counterattack force or at least another line of defence. Or they may not attack at all, realizing that they will not succeed at entirely collapsing your front with just one attack and thus not be 'tempted' away from more pressing concerns elsewhere against other players.

Try to expand slower, leaving less borders. It seems like your problem is simply protecting borders, so if you have less of them, there should be no problem, right? Always put your men on the outer borders, not the inner, unless you are willing to sacrifice some territories and use the bottleneck strategy.
