Alright, so I'm playing this new online extremely Risk-like game called Warfish. I'm curious to see how people evaluate my situation. My name there is the same as my name here. Oh, and you can ask me for an invite if you want in a PM (you'd need to include your email).

Next card sets worth: 16,18,20,22,24,26...
Me: 3 cards, no set
Red: 2 cards
Orange: 3
Lime: 2
Grey: 3

I have a truce with green, who is actually more trustworthy than I am. I haven't been able to hold NA for a turn yet, but after cashing my last turn, I'm mildly hopeful.

Predictions? Suggestions? Any kind of discussion, really.

If you and green have a truce then it looks like you 2 should be in control of the game. with control of NA, you can easily gain an upperhand over SA and you can take over SA without increasing the number of border countries you have which is always good.

Funky graphics

The scenario looks interesting and is similar to Scenario 4.
What is different here is that the cards have very high values in comparison with total armies of each player. Anyone who cashes stands to become far more powerful than others and can make a bold move. You are currently the most powerful and you still have three cards. So you are in a very good position.

It comes down to the ability to withstand any counter attacks from other players. This means timing.

Since you already have a treaty with Lime then it makes a lot of sense to concentrate on Grey. SA is an obvious expansion route for NA. However the situation can be tricky:
  • Grey does not cash. In this case SA is very light.
    • You get 8 armies next turn. You can conquer SA but will have just a few armies left to defend it. Red doesn't have cards, so his counter attack wont be too devastating. In any case you always have one card more than red and can reinforce sooner than he can attack you. The result in this case is that you need to contain Red's attack on SA and Grey's attack on NA from Aisa. This may prove too much of a risk to take. The timing is not right for this option.
    • You get 8 armies but dont attack anything. Grey simply gets stronger, but since he didn't have cards, it wont be much. Orange may engage with Grey and reduce his power in Asia. This is an ideal case as you buy time, though you are gambling on Grey not to have cards.
  • Grey cashes cards. If Grey cashed cards next turn, he will undoubtedly reinforce SA as it is his homebase. He gets 16+2+3=21. With that he can threaten you. However he knows that if he attacks you, you will almost certainly retaliate. He also knows that you have a treaty with Lime, so again puts him in danger. Hence, he wont be inclined to attack you, just to defend himself. However there is a catch. SA would forever be under threat from NA. Sooner or later, he has to confront you. He can choose to expand somewhere else so that he can get a continent only to fund the war against you.
Either way, it comes down to Grey's circumstances and decisions.
Of course getting everybody else to fight each other is the most ideal. Perhaps you should encourage Grey to fight Red. They will both fight for survival. Grey becomes weak as a result. Then it will be the right time to conquer SA.

Once you can secure NA and SA, you are practically invincible.

Haha. Cool. Like Risk for the digital age. I agree with Ehsan, the fact that you have a potential set (you don't have an actual set, but the others don't know that!) makes you practically untouchable. Any attack on you will be punished by severe retaliation, and you should make everyone keenly aware of that. (Can you communicate with other players in this game?) The real threat, in my mind, is Orange. That 10 pushing up from Australia looks pretty menacing, especially if he puts card armies behind it, but with forceful diplomacy you can push it away from NA and into Europe (yes, Green is your ally, but you don't want anyone getting as strong as you). Then you have to persuade Gray to hit Africa instead of you - again, a bit of threatening should do the trick, along with the promise of retaliation into SA itself. If it works, you can just take a little bit of Asia for cards, sit back and enjoy the fireworks.

Do you know if you can count on Green? If you can count on Green, then going for SA is a great choice. Have you ever played with Green before. Does he have a legacy of some sort.

I am not familair with Warfish, but I am  wondering how different it is from other online risk games. Anybody else has any experience with this game?

if you can trust green completely, go after south america. that way, you wont have to increase your borders, just dont try and take it all in one turn unless you are extremely lucky. Keep an eye on asia, as grey could soon gain a lot of power. But also, you are in a position to destroy him, which is good.
